Conservation opportunity: Raising trout fry

The club likes to help out the Kings River Fisheries Management with a project to raise trout fry to release into the river. What is needed are volunteers to check on the fry when the KRFM employees are not available, starting on Saturday the thirty first, and to help release the fry into the river once they are ready.
You can find a list of the dates volunteers are needed here: Please sign up on the Doodle Poll
If you have helped out with this project in the past, then thank you very much for your efforts. If you have not, it’s not too late to get involved.
If you are willing to help with this project to improve the fishing in the Kings, please contact Lori Werner ( to arrange an orientation prior to signing up or to find out more information.
Fry for this round are scheduled for release on February 16. We will need approximately 6-10 volunteers to help release trout fry in various locations between the ACOE Bridge and Avocado Lake Park. Fry release typically lasts from 2:00-5:00 pm dependent on number of volunteers and number of fry. If you can help with this project, please contact Lori.
Note: This notice was supposed to be under conservation, not on the calendar. It was supposed to have been December thirty one to February 16. I can not figure out how to move it there or give the right dates. Please ignore the calendar date.
